I just finished the ninth book of Wings of Fire, Talons of Power, a fantasy by Tui T. Sutherland for the eighth time and it's still the best series in the whole wide world! Talons of Power is about a SeaWing named Turtle (one of the SeaWing princes out thirty-two) who is actually a super rare dragon called an animus. An animus is a dragon who has control over objects. For example, if I were an animus, I could say “Enchant this bracelet so that the wearer has the power to fly.” A two thousand-year-old animus (an evil one who also has the powers of mind-reading and future-seeing) named Darkstalker just rose out of the ground. Even though he killed his own father, everyone thinks that he is a normal friendly dragon due to a spell he put on everyone. But Turtle has hid himself from Darksalker with his animus power also making it so that Darkstalker is not able to cast any spells on him so Turtle is able to see Darkstalker’s evilness. But when Turtle follows Darkstalker to the Rainforest, Dakstalker says to the NightWings that he will take the NightWings (who are currently under the rule of a RainWing and most of them are not happy about it) who want to go with him. And he’s giving out superpowers. How can Queen Glory compete with that?
