Princess Princess Ever After is a very interesting book about one princess that is saved by another instead of a prince. The two princesses become good friends and end up falling in love in the end of this graphic novel. It is odd, but still intruiging.Almost 4 years agoraindrop07 added a book review.
The Power of Poppy Pendle is about a little girl named Poppy. Despite her HUGE love to baking, her parents decide to send her to a witch school, to become a witch like her grandmother and her ancestors. Poppy despises witchcraft though and all she wants to do is bake, bake, bake! Her parents try desperatly to make her stop, and Poppy has to find a way to pursue her dreams! I love this book; it's so creative, fun and exciting!Almost 4 years agoraindrop07 added a book review.
When the Sea Turned to Silver is a book about a girl named Pinmei and her adventures while trying to get her grandmother back from the evil Tiger Emperor. She journeys under the sea, meets many people, kind, wise, young and old, and shows courage on her journey. This is a amazing book and I loved reading it. Grace Lin is a exceptional writer and she captures the culture, landscape and time period perfectly in her writing.Almost 4 years agoraindrop07 added a book review.
Imagine if you ran away into the forest, stubbled apon a boy drinking from a spring in a tree, were whisked away on a horse to a homely cottage on a lake and then told that the family you were staying with lived forever? You would be shocked, stunned, surprised; all that. Well, Winnie Foster sure was. When she stubbled upon Jessie Tuck in the forest and was brought back to his familly's house, it took her a while to believe that they were telling the truth. The Tucks could live forever. This is a beautiful, loving, sad story about family, courage, friendship and happiness. I loved reading it :)Almost 4 years agoraindrop07 added a book review.
Sweet Home Alaska was an intriguing story of a young girl named Terpsichore, who's family became pioneers in Alaska around the time of the start of the Great Depression. Terpsichore had always been inspired by Laura Ingalls Wilder and dreamed of living just like her! The move to Alaska was a shock because the town was under construction, the family had to live in a tent and leave almost every bit of their civilized life behind. All the same, Terpsichore fell in love with the Alaska wilderness and even when her mother became so homesick she threatened to bring the whole family back to their first home in Wisconsin, the little girl fought for the place she had come to love! This is a great book full of adventure and HUGE pumpkins!!Almost 4 years agoraindrop07 replied to a comment in
