Inside out and Back again by Thanhha Lai was really a very, very good book. It was filled with courage, dreams, compassion and tru family love and loyalty. This is a story about a young girl who's family is forced to move to the United States of AMerica because the Vietnam War is trashing and throwing their homeland into chaos and it is no longer safe. This book tells of how this family makes their way in the U.S, far away from the place they call home.

This story starts when Alanna of Trebond becomes Alan and goes to the palace in Corus, Tortall to become a knight, disguised as a boy. She adventures and perserveres through the lessons in sword play, weaponry, magic and chivarly, making friendships and enemies along the way. This is an amazing book and it is so incredibly inspiring to women who fight and become who they want to be. I thoroughly LOVED reading this book and I think many others would enjoy it as well.

Still disguised as a boy, Alanna of Trebond has reached her knighting ordeal and passes it, revealing her true identity to the people of the palace. All along, she follows the words and actions of her rival enemy, Duke Roger of Conte as he plots against her best friend, Prince Jonathan, his royal family - the King and Queen - and even Alanna herself. She must find a way to stop Roger before he kills her and Jonathan. This is an amazing book of how Alanna finds herself and embraces who she really is a female knight, while trying to save her kingdom and make the choice between love and adventure. This book is incredible!!

The Woman Who Rides Like a Man by Tamora Pierce is the third verse in the Song of the Lioness Series starring Alanna of Trebond, the only female knight in all of Tortall. In this book, Alanna travels with her lifelong guardian and companion, Coram, to a camp of the desert tribe, the Bazhir. Here, after Alanna earns her way as a member of the tribe and even becomes their shaman, she begins teaching three young children with a strong Gift for magic, how to controll and use their powers wisely so someday they may become the shamans of the tribe. This story tells of the adventures, hardships and happiness that Alanna faces as she celebrates her 1 year anniversary of being a knight of Tortall! Just like all the other books in this series, The Woman Who Rides Like a Man is amazing, incredibly well written and full of excitement, courage, friendship and love!

This is the last book in the Willow Falls Series by Wendy Mass. It is a great read and I really enjoyed reading it! It tells the story of Grace, a little girl who finds that she holds the magic for the entire town of Willow Falls. She is gifted with the responsibility of protecting everyone in the town and keeping everything in balance. I reccomend this book to all who have read and loved the begining stories of the Willow Falls Series!

The Last Present is the 3rd book in the Willow Falls Series by Wendy Mass. It is an amazing book and I loved reading it. It expands the stories in the lively, magical town of Willow Falls. It inspires freidnship, courage, love and loyalty. I really would recommend this book to anyone who loves the magic that intertwines us all.

The True Blue Scouts of Sugar Man Swamp by Kathi Appelt is about two raccoons who work in a swamp, doing jobs and following the stars and the fantastical Sugarman for direction. It is a charming story about frindship, perserverance, believeing in each other and fighting with courage for whats right. I would reccomend this books lto lovers of animals and bravery.

Smoke and Mirrors by K.D. Hallbrook tells the story of a girl and her younger brother who live with their parents in a traveling circus. When a wizard across the ocean casts a spell that flows smoke that makes people dissapear into the circus tent one night when the girl's parents are doing their trapeze act, her parents dissapear. The girl and her brother depart on a long, magical, courageous journey to find their parents and stop the wizard. This is a great book about siblings, courage and perserverance. I really liked reading it and would reccomend it deifnitely :)

Sky Song is an amazing story that shows bravery, perserverance and courage. It tells the story of Eska, a girl broken free from a cursed music box and Flint, a boy who's ingenious inventiond could change the world and the land of Erkenwald forever. These two journey, fight, run and hide on the path to freedom for their land. I really, really liked reading this book and I think others would too.

Gaia Girls: Way of the Water is the second book in the Gaia Girls Series. This book is so utterly amazing and is so inspiring to ANYONE who reads it. The writing is amazing and the stroyline couldn't be better. It shows how if you really believe, you can save and preserve what you love forever. I would totally reccomend it to anyone who longs for the ocean and adventures beyond imagination.
