After reading the first page of the book, I was really intrigued, and I was so eager to start reading it. The idea of a girl with cerebral palsy who had an eidetic memory was fascinating. I wonder how she will be able to prove her real potential to people.

I think the giver is a great book to read. The plot was very interesting. It made me realize no society is a perfect society. Lois Lowry put some excellent foreshadowing in this book, and she also had excellent description. I recommend this book to kids ages nine to thirteen.

I feel this book has a very simple plot, however, it is a very interesting plot. After hearing Theo's friend April gets kidnapped, and there are all these theories of what could have happened to her is fascinating.
