I saw the documentary about this! It's really incredible, can't wait until they resume their search.

A bigger helicopter requires more rotations. More rotations require more energy. If we're talking about a ''regular sized'' helicopter on Mars, it would have to spin WAY more than 3,000 times per minute (a 4 pound drone spins 10x faster than helicopters on earth). At *least* 4 million times per second (4 pounds roughly 1,000 rotations per pound) based upon a weight of 1,400~ lbs. We just don't have that kind of insane energy, and frankly even if we could do it, space and the laws of physics have their limitations.
